Caitlin Haynes is the Coordinator for the Smithsonian Transcription Center, where she is responsible for outreach, engagement, and project management of Smithsonian digitized content for crowdsourced transcription. She manages the platform's worldwide digital volunteer community and collaborates with colleagues throughout the Smithsonian's archives, museums, and libraries to identify, launch, and promote transcription projects. Prior to joining the Transcription Center team in 2018, Caitlin served as Reference Archivist for the National Anthropological Archives (NAA) in the Smithsonian’s National Museum of Natural History. She received her MLIS and MA (U.S. History) from the University of Maryland, College Park, and her BA in Anthropology and History from Emory University.
